What players should K-State fans keep an eye on?

It’s really too early to tell on that, as even the coaches are just learning the roster still at this point. I think there are a couple “new” names to highlight though. One would be Hunter Rison, who sat out last year after transferring from Michigan State as a wide receiver.

The other would be transfer running back James Gilbert. I think Rison will be an example of a guy with a brighter future under this staff, and he’ll get on the field faster than he likely would have with the previous staff. Gilbert will likely be the starting tailback and carry a pretty big load.

Sophomore defensive end Wyatt Hubert stands out. People know him – he played a lot last year – but he may end up being the best player on the team at some point over his career in Manhattan.

Names to watch out for in 2020 in football recruiting?

There are tons, for sure, but a few would be Turner Corcoran, Ky Thomas, Malik Berry, Hayden Pauls, Nate Matlack and Matthew Roberts. All are either from Kansas or the KC metro area and serious, serious targets of this group.
