Any concern of Bruce Weber and current Wake Forest AD John Currie (former KSU AD) reuniting?

Nice! Funny note though, how well is John Currie’s work aging? I’d say like a fine wine. Facilities are looking great and making an impact in recruiting, and his basketball coach looks like a heck of a hire. I know it’s cooler to make Currie a punching bag, but it’s apparent he did a nice job at K-State.

What players will be impact performers next season after losing three impact seniors?

K-State should be better in basketball next year than people understand right now. In college basketball rosters can undergo full resets on a near yearly-basis. K-State, however, will still have three guys (Xavier Sneed, Makol Mawien, Cartier Diarra) who are essentially returning two-year starters.

Plus you add in a piece like Mike McGuirl, who’s played a ton. Newcomers Shaun Neal-Williams and Austin Trice will also take on much bigger roles (possibly starting) next year. There will be a step back, absolutely, but it’s not a program set up to fall off a cliff when the seniors graduate.

Is Manhattan more excited for NCAA tournament or Spring football?

I think basketball for sure, but that’s not totally fair to spring football. I think the excitement around spring football is as high as it’s been in a long, long time and would be off the charts if there wasn’t a championship-winning basketball team stealing all the headlines right now.
