The Kansas City Royals have a lot of exciting prospects to keep an eye on, but these are players that we very well could see at Kauffman Stadium this year.

More from Kansas City Royals

The likeliest names to contribute in the majors this year are Josh Staumont and Kyle Zimmer. Zimmer has been a long time coming and he looks to finally be both on point and healthy. The Royals will want to get him in front of the fans because he was a first round pick and the struggle has been real for one Kyle Zimmer.

As for Staumont, he honestly should have gotten a chance last season, but that darn service time likely worked against him. That’ll be the case with Nicky Lopez too, but Lopez also has the misfortune of his main positions being occupied. Unless he wants to learn a new position or the Royals shift some other guys around, Lopez might have a longer wait than expected.

Bubba Starling is going to be a player we’re all keeping close watch on. The Gardner native has looked like a bust all throughout his career, but maybe 2019 is finally the year of the Starling.
