KYLE ZIMMER

Could 2019 finally be when we see Kyle Zimmer get his chance to pitch in the major leagues? Royals fans have been waiting for that to happen since Zimmer was drafted in the first round in 2012, but injuries have prevented him from doing much of anything.

Zimmer appears to be healthy and it’s now or never for him in 2019.

If Zimmer can go out there, throw solid innings, and STAY HEALTHY, there’s a decent chance of him making it to the majors. He might not be on the Opening Day roster, but appearing in the Royals bullpen at some point could definitely happen.

The Royals designated Zimmer for assignment a few months ago, but with no other interest on the market, he returned to KC. This could be his final chance to prove he can stay healthy and contribute for Kansas City.
