The start of Spring Training means that baseball is almost here and for Kansas City Royals fans, that means another year of rebuilding.

Even with another year of rebuilding on the horizon, the Royals should be better this season. They showed promise at the end of 2018 and that’s obviously good for the future of this franchise.

The fifth starter in the rotation along with the right fielder are the two looming questions heading into Spring Training and will be topics of discussion throughout. Right field has long been problematic for the Royals, but if Jorge Soler is healthy, hopefully he’s up to the task in the corner outfield spot.

As for the fifth starter, there are plenty of options for the Royals to choose from, so it’ll simply be a matter of who looks the best over the next month. If one guy comes out of nowhere and surprises the staff, that guy deserves the job.

The bullpen has a lot of questions too because the team will have competition at closer and there should be plenty of new faces in the pen.
