RANKING EVERY MAHOMES START IN 2018

NUMBER 16 – WEEK 15 VS LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

Much like the other games, Patrick Mahomes wasn’t responsible for the defense collapsing in the second half. When the Chiefs had a double digit lead late in the game, many thought it was the Chargers “Chargering” once again, but not this time. They fought back and won, their first win over Kansas City in six years.

Mahomes played well in this game, going 24 of 34 for 243 yards with two touchdowns and zero picks. Not throwing an interception was big, especially considering how good the Chargers defense was in 2018.

That same Chargers D limited Mahomes to his lowest yardage in the 2018 season. Considering what he did to them in week one (more on that later), this was a huge accomplishment for the Bolts and it led to one of Mahomes’ “poorest performances” of the season.

It’s not like Mahomes was bad, but there wasn’t anything special about his performance against the Chargers the second time around.
