NUMBER 17 – WEEK 17 VS OAKLAND RAIDERS

The Chiefs needed to beat the Raiders in order to secure their third straight AFC West and home field in the AFC playoffs. A blowout win over the Raiders in the final week of the season, gave the Chiefs both of those things.

It wasn’t all on Mahomes as to why the Chiefs won that week though.

He finished the regular season finale going 14 of 24 for 281 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. The numbers weren’t bad, but a lot of why this game is ranked so low is because Chad Henne eventually came in, so Mahomes didn’t have a chance to throw for more yards.

No one was upset with the 281 yards or two touchdowns Mahomes threw in this game because the Chiefs defense shut down a terrible Raiders team. It didn’t all have to be on Mahomes’ shoulders, which was nice.
