Kansas City Chiefs: Ranking every Patrick Mahomes start in 2018

Wow, was that difficult or what? It’s a good problem to have when you can’t rank your quarterback’s games because they were all noteworthy.

It’s only natural for a quarterback to go through a slump, especially early in his career, but Patrick Mahomes did not go through a slump. Sure, he’d have slow starts in certain games, but he’d pick it up in the second half and get his offense going.

Some of the tougher games for me to rank were the road games against the Broncos and the Patriots. Both were for the same reason too, as Mahomes started those battles off slowly, but then got hot in the second half.

In the Broncos game, Mahomes struggled in the first half, but brought his team back and won the game. It was his second comeback victory over the Broncos, with both of them coming in Denver.

The Patriots game saw Mahomes throw two brutal interceptions, but he still made it a close game by catching fire after half time. The pick thrown in the Chiefs end zone, however, was costly and ultimately, that cost the Chiefs the win that night.
