While the Chiefs won’t be able to hoist the Lombardi Trophy for 2018, that shouldn’t discount what happened otherwise in the season.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City established itself as a team to watch, not just locally, but nationally for a long time to come. If the Chiefs had finished with a 9-7 record, many would have considered that a success with a new quarterback under center.

The Chiefs did much more than that though.

In addition to the ones already mentioned, finishing as the league’s highest ranked offense, winning 12 regular season games, and claiming the number one seed in the AFC playoffs are all big accomplishments as well.

The best is yet to come for football fans in Kansas City.

Thankfully, the Chiefs organization is already making changes to improve for 2019.

Many teams would be glad to be in a position to improve upon what the Chiefs did last season. If those improvements can be made, Chiefs Kingdom will be adding a Super Bowl victory to next year’s list of accomplishments.
