By this point, fans of teams other than the Kansas City Chiefs know how good Patrick Mahomes is, but he was on full display in the Pro Bowl. Mahomes was the offensive MVP of the game.

While no one really cares about the Pro Bowl, it still does well in ratings. There were several Kansas City Chiefs in the game this year and first year starter Patrick Mahomes was one of those Chiefs partaking in the Pro Bowl.

Mahomes went seven of 14 for 156 yards and a touchdown in his limited action in the game. When Mahomes was leading the offense, the AFC scored touchdowns on both drives.

The AFC ran away with the game, winning it 26-7 and basically shutting the NFC down until the very end. Mahomes was the offensive MVP for the AFC squad while Jets safety Jamal Adams won the award on defense.

Now look, I get it. The Pro Bowl is a joke. Fans are just hoping that their favorite players don’t get injured and the refs were obviously taking that into consideration, basically blowing a play dead whenever a defender would touch whoever had the ball.

More from Patrick Mahomes

The Pro Bowl has become such a laughing stock that most of the big time stars pass on showing up. By that point, we’re down to fourth and fifth alternates because it’s a meaningless game and injuries can certainly occur.

Mahomes made it to the Pro Bowl in his first year as a starter though, so that might have been incentive for Chiefs fans to watch. Not just Chiefs fans, but those who enjoy the NFL because Mahomes was a ton of fun to watch in the 2018 season.

The AFC offense looked dynamic when Mahomes was leading it and his squad went on to win big. It’s pretty cool that one of the biggest stars in the league now just happens to be a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. We’ve been waiting for this quarterback for pretty much our entire lives.

Obviously it would have been cooler if the Chiefs were playing in the Super Bowl next weekend, but hey… Mahomes still participated in the Pro Bowl and looked darn good.
