Kansas City Chiefs: No reason to worry about Colts
By Mike Norris
Analytics are not my thing.
I appreciate them and those who dig deep to find the truth, but I’m too impatient to break down stats if it takes longer than Tyreek Hill in a 100-yard dash. Mahomes and these Chiefs pass the eye test, and it’s Colts fans who should be scared.

Speaking of Hill, he’ll be on the field Saturday as the game’s best receiver. The Colts T.Y. Hilton is great as well, and killed the Chiefs in the 2013 game, but he’s been hobbled for a while now and still not on Hill’s level.
Kelce, a mismatch for any defense, will be catching passes as well. Wideout Sammy Watkins could play for the first time since Week 11 and the team as a whole has a week off to heal, something the Colts did not.
Count All-Pro safety Berry as a possibility as well. If he plays and is even close to his full ability, he’ll give a lift to a defense that has struggled to say the least. But it’s a defense that only allowed three points in Week 17 to the Raiders when a No. 1 seed was on the line.
It’s one that also ranked tied for eighth in takeaways (27), tied for first in sacks (52) and basically broke Jacksonville in Week 5 with a dominating performance that included five sacks, four interceptions, one lost fumble and a defensive touchdown.
It’s not a good defense — ranking only ahead of Cincinnati in total yards allowed (405.5), but it’s a timely defense and don’t be surprised to see Luck find success, but also the Chiefs make big plays on defense when needed.
So Chiefs fans, relax, take a deep breath, grab your favorite bag of chips, pick up a six-pack of your favorite beverage and enjoy a win.
Or you could continue to freak out, rehash the past and watch replays of Super Bowl IV.
And if you do, given all that’s happen to this fan base the past 49 years, I actually wouldn’t blame you.
