Last year the Chiefs built a 21-3 lead over the Titans and wound up losing. The year before they lost even with the Steelers failing to find the end zone.
It just so happens that three of the worst playoff losses in franchise history all came against the Colts. There was the 1995 loss when the kicker who won’t be named missed three field goals. There was also the 2003 season in which the Chiefs defense failed to force a single Colts punt (and vice versa) and thus the game was dubbed the “No Punt Game”.
Oh, and don’t forget about the 38-10 implosion five years ago. That one was against Andrew Luck and several Colts who are still on that team to this day.
The Chiefs might be different now, but until they get the job done and win a playoff game at Arrowhead, I’m going to continue to be nervous. Convince me otherwise please!
