Cases could be made for why every single one of these teams could make it to and win the Super Bowl and that’s scary for the one-seeded Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs have an explosive offense and a suspect defense. The AFC will go through Arrowhead, but can the Chiefs play to their seed? That will be the question on everyone’s minds as the playoffs begin next weekend.

The Patriots are the current dynasty of the NFL and that makes them dangerous. They had a down year for them and this is definitely the time to take advantage and keep them out of the Super Bowl.

Kansas City has a chance to do just that if they can get to the AFC Championship Game, which would be played at Arrowhead, somewhere the Patriots have struggled over the years. They’re also 3-5 on the road this year, which bodes well for Chiefs fans.

The Texans aren’t getting much buzz, but that’s good for them as they tend to play better when people are sleeping on them. Houston overcame an 0-3 start and did so with a great passing game and a stout defense. The weakness for Houston, however, is their offensive line, which gave up 60 sacks this year. Their run game is also mediocre.

The Ravens are a trendy pick to make the Super Bowl, but to get there, they’ll have to beat the Chargers and then win two road games in hostile environments. Baltimore’s defense has been insanely good this season, but their offense picked it up once Lamar Jackson took over for an injured Joe Flacco. Jackson isn’t a strong passer, which is what teams will want to try and force him to do.

The Chargers, despite being 12-4, have to play on the road this weekend and it won’t be easy for them. They have arguably the best roster in the league, which is what made them a popular pick to win the AFC West and even the Super Bowl. LA can certainly get to the Super Bowl, but they’ll more than likely have to win three games on the road in order to get there.

The Colts are the six seed in the playoffs, but they don’t feel like the “weakest” team in the bunch. They started 1-5 on the year and fought hard to make the postseason. They’re a well-balanced team, but if teams can get to Andrew Luck, they’re beatable. The Jaguars shut them out a few weeks ago, so it’s not like the Colts are invincible.

No matter who the Kansas City Chiefs get in the Divisional Round, it won’t be an easy game or an easy path to the Super Bowl. If the Chiefs can get to the AFC Championship Game, fans will be feeling like a Super Bowl appearance is on the horizon and that’s a great feeling to have.
