Losing stinks, but the Kansas City Chiefs are still in prime position to notch home field advantage, which is the only thing that matters at this point.

After losing back to back games, one would think the Kansas City Chiefs lost pace in the AFC playoffs, but that isn’t the case. The Chargers’ loss on Saturday plus the Texans dropping a close game to the Eagles kept KC in the top seed in the AFC and now all they have to do is beat the Raiders in the season finale next weekend.
It’d have been nice if the Chiefs could have locked up the AFC West and home field advantage this week, but they can still do so next week at Arrowhead against the Raiders who have nothing to play for.
The defensive woes this season have me incredibly concerned for this team moving forward. They’ve been able to get past it against lesser opponents, but in the playoffs, every team is going to be able to pick bad defenses apart.
Hopefully the Chiefs can beat Oakland next week and be the top seed in the AFC playoffs. It’d sure be nice to have home field advantage throughout the postseason.
