Kansas City Chiefs ranked in top ten of Fandom 250
The Fandom 250 is out and the Kansas City Chiefs not only made the cut, but are near the top of the list! They come in at number nine on this year’s rankings, jumping up 21 spots from a year ago.
Kansas City Chiefs fans know how great they are, so it’s great to see a platform such as the Fandom 250 recognize it as well. The Fandom 250, which ranks the fan bases in everything from sports to celebrities to movies to music, put the Chiefs at number nine on this year’s list.
It’s not surprising to see the Kansas City Chiefs this high up. After all, Arrowhead Stadium is one of, if not THE, toughest place to play in the NFL. It currently holds the record for loudest outdoor stadium after the fans screamed their hearts out against the Patriots on a Monday Night Football game back in 2014.
The Chiefs won that game in dominating fashion and no sports team has been able to top Chiefs Kingdom’s loudest roar since that night. Arrowhead continues to be a loud and intimidating environment for the opposition to play in, which makes it even more important for the Chiefs to hold onto that top seed in the AFC playoffs.

After a 10-2 start to the 2018 season, Chiefs fans really feel like something special could be cooking this winter. They finally have their franchise quarterback in Patrick Mahomes, which is a new and exciting feeling for this fan base.
For years, Chiefs fans pulled for castoffs from other teams and it never felt like we had our guy, but now we do and he’s AWESOME. Mahomes currently has 41 touchdown passes this season and very well could pass the all-time single season record, which is currently held by Peyton Manning. That’d sure be something!
As for the other teams on the Fandom 250, the Chiefs unfortunately weren’t the top ranked NFL fan base. That honor belongs to the Cleveland Browns, who were number one on the entire list. It’s hard to discount that, as Browns fans have had to deal with a lot of tumultuous seasons over the years. Chiefs fans should be thankful that they’re NOT Browns fans.
Nineteen of the 32 NFL teams made the list, so the Chiefs being considered the second best fan base is a big accomplishment. The Steelers (16th), Packers (18th), and Eagles (28th) round out the top five as far as NFL fan bases go.
The Chiefs aren’t the only AFC West team with a dedicated fan base either, as both the Raiders (14th in NFL/105th overall) and the Broncos (18th in NFL/152nd overall) made the list as well. Much like the current regular season though, the Kansas City Chiefs reign supreme over both those teams.
While it’d have been nice to see the Chiefs as the BEST NFL fan base on the Fandom 250, at least they made the top ten! Chiefs Kingdom is one of the most supportive in all of sports, so they deserve a big shoutout. Way to go, Chiefs Kingdom!
