GOOD: TRAVIS KELCE

It was clear from the beginning that Mahomes was feeling a real connection with Travis Kelce and that continued throughout the afternoon. Kelce ended the day with 12 receptions for 168 yards and two touchdowns. He had a third touchdown overturned after it was ruled that he was down on the 13-yard line. I think we’ll forgive Kelce for that.

GOOD: FORCING TURNOVERS

While the defense didn’t have a great day, they did their part in forcing turnovers. Three different Raiders running backs fumbled the football and three different Chiefs defenders were able to jump on them. Justin Houston, Daniel Sorensen, and rookie Dorian O’Daniel had the three recovered fumbles.

It was a good thing the Chiefs defense was able to force these fumbles, as the final score was 40-33. Had even one of those turnovers not occurred, we might be singing a different tune this morning.

GOOD: DEE FORD

Dee Ford continues to show up big in a contract year, notching 1.5 sacks in this game and racking up five tackles as well. He also had three hits on Derek Carr.
