The Kansas City Royals have had some great players and this list proves that.

No one should be surprised to see George Brett at the top of the list, but Hal McRae, Amos Otis, and Frank Martin right behind him isn’t surprising either. In fact, the top six on this list have spent over a decade with the Royals, which certainly helps get them to the top of any list.

More from Royals All-Time Lists

As far as recent Royals, only two current players make the list, with Alex Gordon sixth and Salvador Perez at 13th. Gordon likely won’t move up, considering he has just one year remaining on his contract.

Perez, however, has the ability to move up quite a bit after 2019. Perez should be able to crack the top ten by this time next year, but passing Eric Hosmer at number eight probably isn’t going to happen for a bit. Hosmer and Mike Moustakas are both in the top 15 and Billy Butler is seventh all-time.

While the Royals haven’t always been a super successful organization, they have some big names on this list and that shows that when they get the right players, special things can happen for them. Hopefully we see some movement from the current two Royals in the next year.

Just missing the list were Johnny Damon, Lou Piniella, Cookie Rojas, Jermaine Dye, and Steve Balboni. Some great names there as well!
