Also, keep an eye on Harrison Butker. His new contract this offseason will raise some eyebrows. With so many teams rotating kickers this season, the Chiefs will have to be willing to pay their kicker.
If the Chiefs can get a couple good picks in the next couple drafts, do the Chiefs make that deal? I don’t know. Do they make a long term contract for Ford? I don’t know, but I doubt it. However, here is what I am comfortable saying: This organization, over time starting with John Dorsey and transitioning to Brett Veach, has been far better drafting their own players than they have the signing of others.
