Getting that first win under Scott Frost took a lot of pressure off of these players. Now they can just go out there on Saturday and not have to worry about getting the first victory.

More from Nebraska Cornhuskers

There was a time where it looked like this weekend’s game might be the only one Nebraska would win this year. The good news is that they finally got in the win column last week against Minnesota and now get a non-conference opponent on their home turf.

Bethune-Cookman is a .500 team in a non-Power 5 conference. They shouldn’t be hanging with the Huskers in this one and if they are, that isn’t a good sign.

I’m not too worried about the Wildcats doing a lot of damage this weekend, especially if Nebraska constantly runs the ball down their throat. Ozigbo, Washington, and even Martinez make that game plan pretty easy to follow.

If Nebraska pulls this game off, that’ll give them two straight wins and you know what they call that, right? A winning streak. Nebraska would have its first winning streak in what feels like forever. That’d be a great feeling for Husker fans.

Go Big Red!
