At 0-6, the chances of making a bowl game have become darn near impossible, but there’s still a season to be had for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

More from Nebraska Cornhuskers

Nebraska is playing for pride at this point. They’ve had several of these games in their grasp, but keep coming up just short. At some point, the ball has to bounce their way, right? Maybe that ball will start bouncing their way this weekend.

The Huskers return home to Lincoln for Saturday’s game, but make no mistake: Minnesota is no slouch. The Golden Gophers have always played Nebraska tough and this year will be no exception, even with Minnesota dropping their last three games.

At the end of the day, the Huskers aren’t going to make a bowl game, so now we’re just anxiously awaiting that first W of the Scott Frost era. No one expected it to take this long to get here, but maybe it will come on Saturday.

Once that win happens, whether it’s on Saturday or the next Saturday, it’ll take a lot of weight off these guys’ shoulders. Hopefully the win comes on Saturday so we can stop talking about the winless record.

Go Big Red!
