It won’t be easy, but crazier things have happened in college football. Alabama did lose a game last year, but it came at the hands of ranked Auburn. They haven’t lost to an unranked opponent was in 2007 when UL-Monroe knocked them off. That was at the beginning of Nick Saban’s tenure as the Alabama head coach.
Since then, it’s been pretty smooth sailing for Saban and the Tide. Even if this game was taking place in Columbia, the Tigers would still be major underdogs. Alabama is just that good of a program and now they have one of the best quarterbacks in the country at the helm. Yeah, that makes them even deadlier.
For this be considered a successful game, Missouri can’t get blown out. They aren’t expected to win, but just hang with the Tide. Give them more of a fight than they’ve experienced all season. Tagovailoa has yet to play in the fourth quarter or in a tight game this year, so make him feel that.
Hopefully the Missouri Tigers don’t get horribly blown out and can put up somewhat of a fight against the number one ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. It could get ugly fast, but if the Tigers realize the pressure isn’t on them, maybe they can play better.
