The Kansas City Chiefs are 5-0 for the second consecutive year! Will they continue to roll moving forward?

This was a game that a lot of people had been looking forward to and it might not have been as exciting as the national pundits had hoped. The Chiefs were up 20-0 at half time and didn’t allow the Jaguars to score until late in the third quarter.

I’m not sure if the Chiefs defense was the real winner in this one or if Blake Bortles really is just that bad. He threw for over 400 yards, but was picked off four times by a team that hadn’t had much success in forcing turnovers.

If Bortles is a halfway decent quarterback on Sunday, this game is much closer because the Jags defense held their own against this electric Chiefs offense. Patrick Mahomes had his worst game of the season, but still threw for over 300 yards and rushed for a touchdown. He did throw two interceptions though.

At the end of the day, it’s hard to complain about the Chiefs being 5-0. Now the question is… Will they keep it up or is a slump about to hit like last year?

Next up: A date with the New England Patriots in Foxboro on Sunday Night Football in week six. The Patriots are back in business after a “rough” start and they’re a much different team than the Jaguars. That’ll be another intriguing match-up and let’s see if the Chiefs can move to 6-0 next week!

For now, however, let’s celebrate this hard fought win! Good job Chiefs!
