Nebraska football fans are loyal as can be, but I doubt many of them are picking the Huskers to upset the Badgers this weekend.

Look, this season hasn’t been great, but I have to give the Big Red faithful credit: No one is giving up on Scott Frost. Every Nebraska fan I’ve talked to still has the utmost faith in Frost and what he can bring to this program in years to come.

More from Nebraska Cornhuskers

It’s only been four games for Frost as the Huskers head coach and there’s still plenty of time to make a positive impact. Yes, this season is likely a wash, but no one expected Nebraska to be a Big Ten Championship contender this year anyway.

Wisconsin is a tough team, there’s no doubt about that, and they’ve owned Nebraska since the Cornhuskers joined the Big Ten in 2011. The only year Nebraska has beaten the Badgers since joining the conference was in 2012 when they won 30-27 in Lincoln.

Since then, it’s been five straight Wisconsin victories with three of those coming in the form of a blowout (including the Big Ten Championship game in the 2012 season where the Badgers hung 70 points on the Huskers). In other words, this hasn’t exactly been a true rivalry.

There’s little chance of Nebraska upsetting Wisconsin this weekend, especially with this game coming on the road, but hey… Crazier things have happened I guess. Hopefully the Cornhuskers at least put up a fight. That’s all fans can ask for at this point.

Go Big Red!
