FORMER ROYALS IN 2018 POSTSEASON

ATLANTA BRAVES – LANE ADAMS, LUCAS DUDA, AND PETER MOYLAN

The Braves have three former Royals on their roster and two of them have played for Kansas City within the last three seasons. Lucas Duda signed with KC this past winter and was traded to Atlanta in late August while Peter Moylan spent all of 2016 and 2017 pitching out of the Royals bullpen.

As for the other Brave who spent time in a Royals jersey, Lane Adams didn’t do a ton with the Royals, appearing in just six games for the boys in blue in 2014. He hasn’t done much with the Braves this season, batting just .240 in 25 at bats with two home runs.

Duda batted .222 during his limited time with Atlanta and might not play in Game 1 of the NLDS due to injury. Speaking of injuries, Peter Moylan was shut down for the year for that very reason so unfortunately we won’t get to watch the Australian sensation pitch in the postseason this year.

We might not have been seeing Moylan on the mound regardless though, as he struggled mightily this season in Atlanta. He had an ERA of 4.45 in 28.1 innings and hasn’t pitched since July 28th so it’s highly unlikely that Moylan pitches this October. Bummer.
