Kansas City Chiefs: Good, Bad, Ugly vs 49ers in week 3 of 2018
The 49ers were able to make plays in the second half, but the Chiefs ultimately won the game and moved to 3-0 for the year. This is the second straight year in which the Chiefs have started out 3-0.
Well, the second half wasn’t the prettiest of halves for the Kansas City Chiefs, but all that matters is that they got the W. They now move to 3-0 and are in sole possession of first place of the AFC West after Denver lost to the Baltimore Ravens.

Next up for the Chiefs is a Monday Night Football match-up with those very same Broncos. Denver is a tough team to peg because they went 2-0 to start the year, but it was against cupcake teams.
Seattle is bad and the Raiders, who are now 0-3 (lol) are a dumpster fire. We likely saw the true Broncos this past weekend.
Even though next week’s game seems like an easy Chiefs win, Denver always plays the Chiefs tough. The good news is that Mahomes has already played the Broncos once before in his career and he torched them despite playing with mostly backups.
One last thought on this game: The Chiefs were up 35-7 at half time and looked to be cruising. The defense was looking decent in the first half, but they collapsed in the second half.
Until that defense improves, it’s going to be difficult for me to pick this team to defy the odds come January. Bad defenses rarely get a team to a Super Bowl, let alone win it all.
With that said, however, a win is a win! We’ll cross that bridge if/when we get to it. 3-0 baby!
