Starting off the Scott Frost era with a loss sucked, so hopefully Nebraska football comes out swinging big time and can shut the Trojans down.

More from Nebraska Cornhuskers

Troy isn’t a cupcake team. They might be a Sun Belt school and Nebraska might be a Big Ten school, but we’ve seen crazier things in college football. Nebraska needs to stick to what got them their lead a week ago and continue to step on the gas pedal.

There were some questionable calls in the second half that gave the Buffs a chance to stay in it. Frost and company can’t do that again. Put the opposition away early and keep rolling.

While I’d love to see Martinez play this week, I’d much rather he get a week off and Andrew Bunch play than forcing Martinez into action and him getting further injured. Bunch played okay considering the role in which he was thrust into and if he does get the start, I hope he performs well.

The biggest thing to watch this week is the running backs doing work and the defensive line continuing to crush opposing offenses’ spirits. Nebraska shouldn’t lose this game, but Troy will be a tougher team than fans might give credit.

Go Big Red!
