START ‘EM

Falcons. Calvin Ridley. 3. player. 44. . Wide Receiver

It might seem odd to put Calvin Ridley in as a starter in week one due to the uncertainty, but I like the chances of the rookie putting on a show in week one. Julio Jones is obviously a great wide receiver, but for those who weren’t fortunate to draft him, maybe they got Ridley later on.

If so, start Ridley this week. Jones is going to be covered by Jalen Mills and he might not have the star-studded kind of night that fantasy owners are used to getting from him. That could open things up for Calvin Ridley to have a big night.

The Eagles defense is tough, but even being the third string receiver shouldn’t prevent Ridley from showing up big in his NFL debut. Both defenses are decent, but I still have a strong feeling that this game could turn into a shootout. Let’s face it… That’s what the NFL is wanting on the field, right? All offensive production?
