Kansas City Royals fans have plenty to watch for in the College World Series this summer, but these three players will be the headliners for sure.

More from Kansas City Royals

It’s always kind of disappointing to me that not many people get into the College World Series as much as I do. Perhaps it’s because none of the local schools typically make it (Nebraska was the most recent to make it and that was in 2005… back when Alex Gordon still played there), but the College World Series is a fun event.

With the Royals having three players in the series this year, it should interest the fans a bit to see what they have in their future players. While Eric Cole was a third round pick, that’s still a high selection and he’s been a stud for the Razorbacks this season.

The two pitchers are obviously going to receive a lot of the attention for multiple reasons. One, they were the top two Royals picks in the draft, which is intriguing right there. They’re also on the same team and pitching is more of a high-profile position in these type of games. It’s easier to follow along with since we see more of them in a single game.

If you decide to watch any of the College World Series games, keep an eye out for these three future Royals prospects! They just might be the future of the franchise and that next wave of fun players to help the team win a championship.
