This lists shows how talented the Royals pitching used to be back in the day. We had guys like Bret Saberhagen and Charlie Leibrandt, who would play a huge role in getting the Royals their first ever championship.
We also had dominant relievers like Jeff Montgomery and Dan Quisenberry, both of whom were shutdown closers. We all know too well how important it is to have a legitimate closer in that bullpen, especially after those 2014 and 2015 World Series runs.
While younger fans probably didn’t see any of these guys pitch (other than Greinke), we can all appreciate just how darn good they were at what they did. Greinke, who was a Royal as a recently as 2010, is still in the league and still one of the top pitchers in the majors.

Will some of the current Royals pitchers make this list someday? We’ve seen that you have to be with the team for a long time, so guys like Danny Duffy could see their name on here someday, maybe.
Are there any surprises with this list?
