When most people are asked about the state of the Kansas City Chiefs right now, a good chunk of people would say that they’re a young team. CBS Sports agrees, putting three Chiefs on their list of best players under the age of 25.

Sean Wagner-McGough wrote the list for CBS Sports and he put three members of the Kansas City Chiefs on his “Top 25 NFL players under age of 25” rankings. It’s not surprising that the Chiefs have that many talented young players, but so do a lot of other teams, yet the Chiefs tied for the most amount of players listed.

For those wondering, here’s who the Chiefs players were and where they were ranked:

Two Chiefs landed in the top ten of this list and no one would be surprised to hear that it’s Kareem Hunt and Tyreek Hill. Hunt was the league’s leading rusher last year as a rookie and Tyreek Hill has been a name to watch since his rookie year in 2016. He’s had 1,000 yard receiving campaigns in both of his professional seasons.

As for Kendall Fuller, people might forget about him, but the kid was the real deal in D.C. and he should bring some of that nastiness in the secondary to Kansas City. The Chiefs acquired him when they sent Alex Smith to the Redskins and it seemed like a deal swinging in the Chiefs’ favor for sure.

Hunt is 22 years old and just beginning his career, Hill is 24 and has proven to be one of the top wideouts in the league, and Fuller is just 23 years old and showing promise at his position. When looking at the rest of the players on here, it’s even cooler that there were three Chiefs listed. All of these players could be names to watch for many years to come.

Rounding out the top ten were Todd Gurley, Joey Bosa, Alvin Kamara, Marshon Lattimore, Jalen Ramsey, Ezekiel Elliott, Kareem Hunt, Mike Evans, Landon Collins, and Tyreek Hill. Chiefs fans know all too well just how good Joey Bosa is, having to play him twice a year. They’ll also get to square up against Gurley and Ramsey this year.

Only one quarterback made the list and no, it wasn’t Patrick Mahomes. Chiefs fans love the kid, but he’s played in one NFL game. Even Deshaun Watson was knocked for playing in just seven games, so yeah… No one should be shocked to see Mahomes left off.

The quarterback who did make the cut was surprisingly Jared Goff of the Rams. Goff had a rough rookie season, but bounced back tremendously in year two. If he can continue to improve, then he should be in the league for awhile, but would anyone be surprised to see him regress in year three?

At the end of the day, it’s cool to see so many youngsters on the Chiefs make these rankings. It shows that the Chiefs certainly have marketable players and if they can get everything clicking, these next few years could be special.
