These five players could all be considered overrated and all for different reasons.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

While some of the players, them being included on here is due to their performance alone, but others it’s due to their contract and/or injuries. Ford, Harris, and Thomas fall in the poor performance category while Watkins isn’t necessarily worth what the Kansas City Chiefs paid him.

Justin Houston being considered overrated might be nuts to some, but injuries have really cut into his production. Houston could also fall into the overrated category due to his salary. The Chiefs gave him a TON of money four years ago and he has not lived up to the hype whatsoever.

We don’t know what the future of Sammy Watkins in a Chiefs uniform will look like yet, but he is going to have one heck of an inaugural season for fans to deem him worthy of that deal he got this offseason. That’s one tall task for the new Chief.
