The Chiefs have a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball and are looking to make a big statement in 2018. That being said, using the first pick on offense is probably not going to happen.

It’s most likely that Kansas City will add a piece on defense with pick number 54 in an attempt to revamp a once feared defense under Bob Sutton. Look for the defense to get a nice boost in round two of the 2018 NFL Draft.

As flashy as the offensive positions are and the more excited we get when our team drafts those type of players, it doesn’t make sense for the Chiefs to go in that direction this year. Mahomes has weapons in the form of Travis Kelce, Kareem Hunt, Tyreek Hill, and Sammy Watkins, so them adding a tight end that early probably isn’t the likeliest of scenarios.

Should the Chiefs go with a pass rusher, corner, or safety, however, every member of Chiefs Kingdom would be down for that. They’d all address areas of need and help boost the defense in trying to get it back to what it once was.

What position do you think the KC Chiefs will target with their first pick in the 2018 NFL Draft?
