WILDCATS WHO COULD BE DRAFTED – BYRON PRINGLE (WIDE RECEIVER)

Last, but not least, we come to Byron Pringle, who should also be a late round draft pick this year. Pringle had a troubled childhood and that will probably lead to him getting dinged a few rounds.

Pringle is also 24 years old and will turn 25 in November, so he’s not exactly a “true” rookie entering the NFL. Most rookies are between 20 and maybe 23 years old, so that’s another knock on Pringle.

Even with those cons on Pringle’s draft resumé, the guy performed well for Kansas State, especially for a team that really didn’t pass a whole lot during his time there. He hauled in 69 receptions 1,355 yards and ten touchdowns in two seasons.

Pringle was also solid in the return game, taking two kickoffs all the way to the house (once as a sophomore and once as a junior). He, like Reed, could be boosted in the draft conversations because of his reliability as a return man on special teams.

Pringle is a talented receiver, but he will probably be a Day 3 selection. It’ll be interesting to see who goes first between him and D.J. Reed.
