Kansas City Chiefs: Good, Bad, Ugly vs Miami Dolphins in Week 16
BAD: TYREEK HILL CATCH THAT WASN’T A CATCH APPARENTLY
This isn’t bad on the Chiefs end, but more on officiating. When are the referees going to figure out what a catch is? I’m not just being biased, but Tyreek Hill caught that ball in the end zone.
First, let’s get to the backstory on this play. The Chiefs were rolling on their first offensive position of the second half and made it down to the red zone. They didn’t get into the end zone on their first two attempts, but on third and goal it looked like Smith connected with Hill on what would have been a hell of a catch.
Instead, the catch was ruled incomplete. The Chiefs challenged the play and it was upheld. No touchdown for Kansas City, which made the crowd incredibly upset.
The Chiefs would end up settling for a field goal, but it was hard not to be angry about that call. Hill should have been given the touchdown there and the Chiefs should have builded on their lead.
