Like this could possibly be anybody else. The top player to watch for the Kansas City Chiefs is easily going to be Marcus Peters, and for a couple of reasons. The Chiefs suspended Peters for last week’s game after he lost control the week prior. The KC secondary responded surprisingly well, which prompted more than a few (ill-advised) calls for Peters to be let go.

However, the big reason to watch Marcus Peters this week is that he will be renewing his rivalry with Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen. The Peters vs Allen match-up is a heavyweight fight that looms large. The last time these two teams met, Peters had quite a day with a pair of pass defenses and an interception.
Keenan Allen is one of the hottest receivers in the league right now though, and you can expect the Chargers to look for ways to get him the ball. Marcus Peters will be tested when the two are matched up. He will absolutely need to bring his “A Game” this week. Given that he’s coming off a suspension, I suspect he will do just that.
This is a key game for the Kansas City Chiefs, and they will need some of their star players to step up. If the Chiefs are going to the playoffs this season, they need to pull off the win this week. We know they can get the job done, it’s just a matter of doing it. Win now, and momentum will be on their side.
