The Kansas City Chiefs broke their losing streak, but a tougher opponent is on the horizon in week 15. What does Madden predict for the Chiefs vs Chargers game on Saturday night?

The Kansas City Chiefs play on Saturday this week in what is pretty much an AFC West Championship Game being played at Arrowhead. The good news is that the game is at Arrowhead and the fans should be a little more hyped up after a victory this past week.

The bad news, however, is that the Los Angeles Chargers are coming to town and they’re easily one of the hottest teams in the league at the moment. The Chargers started off 0-4 (with one of those losses coming at the hands of the Chiefs), but since then have gone 7-2. They’ve been clicking on all cylinders.

Before we get into the Madden simulation for this week’s game, how did last week’s game against the Raiders turn out? The Chiefs won 26-15 and led 26-0 heading into the fourth quarter. Madden said it’d be a 34-27 Chiefs victory so it did well there.

Stat wise, the game predicted Derek Carr to do WAY better than he actually did. The video game said Carr would throw for over 330 yards when in reality, he had just barely over 200 and threw for 69 yards in the first half.

Jared Cook did have a good game, but only because of garbage time. Otherwise he was mostly ineffective. The only decent player was Marshawn Lynch, who Madden predicted would have a good game, so there’s that.

As for the Chiefs stats, Kareem Hunt did indeed rush for over 100 yards, but had a touchdown instead of a fumble. Demarcus Robinson did not go over 100 yards, which isn’t surprising to anyone who has actually WATCHED the Chiefs.

Now that we’ve recapped last week’s simulation, what does this week’s have in store? Let’s check it out.

The Chargers seem like the hot pick in this game and for good reason. They’ve been on fire the past month and a half of the regular season and look like the best team in the AFC West by a long shot.

The way the Chargers have been playing is how the Kansas City Chiefs looked in the first five weeks of the season. They look unstoppable on offense, legitimate on defense, and have good special teams to back them up.

Chiefs Kingdom would love it if this ended up being the final score of Saturday’s game because in all likelihood, the winner of this game will win the AFC West. The Kansas City Chiefs need to show that they’re deserving of winning the division and making it to the playoffs for the third straight season.
