KC Chiefs: Pros and cons of starting Patrick Mahomes this season
By Kyle Hull
So, Now What?
You tell me. I have no idea.
Smith is disgraceful yet again. He has done things beyond imagining for the team, but now he is back to his to not-so-great football, yet again. Smith is not the long-term answer in Kansas City, as the Mahomes era is inching closer, and closer with time.
When Mahomes is the starter, expect there to be some kinks every once in awhile, but also some moments of pure amazement.

If I knew when Mahomes turn takes place, I would go ahead and say it. For the time being, let’s just hope Smith gets his act together, and plays the game he is capable of playing.
It appears head coach Andy Reid is sticking to Smith for the remainder of the season. So, with that being said, I wish you all good luck, and do not break anything due to the frustration that is staring at us further down the road.

No matter how bad Smith is doing, just keep in mind – the Mahomes era is going to be special.
Will it be this season? As of now, no. As much as I wish it was, I still think Reid’s focus remains on Smith to send them to glory. Yeah, I just sighed heavily, too.
