Royals Rumors: Potential landing spots for Mike Moustakas in free agency

POTENTIAL LANDING SPOTS FOR MOUSTAKAS – SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS

Moose is a California kid, so any of the West Coast teams are probably in play for him. That most definitely includes the San Francisco Giants, who have been linked with Moustakas this offseason.

Jon Heyman of Fan Rag Sports linked the Giants as one of three suitors for Moose’s services and had this to say about the possibility of Moose heading to the Bay,

"The other is the Giants, who are giving old friend Pablo Sandoval a virtual tryout this month. Considering the Giants’ wherewithal, desire to win and hope for more power, they seem to be the fashionable guess."

Yeah, I wouldn’t count on San Francisco being a realistic option, mainly because they’ll probably address other needs this winter. The Giants are normally a competitive franchise though (and it’ll be an even year…) so that could very well attract Moustakas when deciding who to sign with.

More than likely though, if the Giants are going to sign any former Royal, it’ll be Lorenzo Cain. That’s just a hunch though.
