The Kansas City Chiefs host the Buffalo Bills in week 12 of the NFL season. What does Madden predict for this AFC match-up?

Well, the Madden simulation for last week’s game pairing up the Kansas City Chiefs against the New York Giants did not go according to plan. Madden thought it’d be a 24-9 Chiefs victory, but instead… Fans were witnessed to one of the worst NFL games ever.

The only accurate part of the simulation was that Travis Kelce did have a nice day, going over 100 yards. Alex Smith did not throw a single touchdown (the sim said he’d throw two) and Kareem Hunt didn’t even come close to sniffing a 146 yard rushing day.

The Giants didn’t hit their projected stats either, as Eli Manning struggled and Sterling Shepard didn’t even suit up. Orleans Darkwa had a touchdown, but that was about it for the G-Men. Landon Collins had an interception, so that was accurate, unfortunately.

The Chiefs will now welcome in the Bills and both teams are desperate to bust their slump. The Bills are coming off a total butt whooping at the hands of the Chargers while the Chiefs got beat by a one-win Giants team.

The Chiefs and Bills played each other for seven straight seasons and it became sort of a “mini rivalry” to Chiefs fans. It felt like Buffalo was a part of the AFC West because these two were always playing and the Bills played Kansas City tough.

So, what does Madden think the Chiefs are in store for this week? Let’s take a look.

FINAL SCORE – BILLS 20, CHIEFS 16

CHIEFS STATS

  • Alex Smith – 12/25, 168 yards, TD, INT
  • Kareem Hunt – 15 carries, 46 yards
  • Travis Kelce – 5 receptions, 62 yards, TD
  • Daniel Sorensen – 13 total tackles

BILLS STATS

  • Tyrod Taylor – 16/23, 237 yards, 2 TD
  • Kelvin Benjamin – 3 receptions, 83 yards, TD
  • LeSean McCoy – 24 carries, 131 yards, TD; 6 receptions, 48 yards, TD
  • Defense – 3 sacks

    More from Kansas City Chiefs

This is… Well, realistic, to say the least. The Kansas City Chiefs haven’t been doing well on either side of the ball recently and this looks like a game we’d have seen from last year.

In this sim, the Chiefs got off to a fiery start and that’s where most of their points came from. In the second half, however, the Bills made good defensive adjustments and shut down Kansas City. The Chiefs got into Bills territory on their final drive to try and score a touchdown and win the game, but the Bills sacked Smith and time expired.

What a Chiefs way to go out, right? Kansas City started off 5-0, but they’re in a major slump as of lately. The Bills are also slumping and this is Tyrod Taylor’s chance to show that he deserves to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. According to Madden, he’s going to have a nice game and prove to Buffalo that he’s their guy.

The Chiefs are slumping, but Madden hasn’t been all that accurate. Perhaps that’s good news for a fan base that is desperately hoping to see the Chiefs pull out a big win on Sunday. If they don’t… The faith will be almost all gone, especially with the surging Chargers.
