Not much went well for the Kansas City Chiefs in this game yet they still had a chance to win.

The fact that Kansas City nearly won the game is shocking. They had no business being in that game, yet forced overtime and almost came away with a win.

What this loss showed us is that the Chiefs aren’t a Super Bowl contender anymore. They just lost to one of the worst teams in the league and if they weren’t a part of the worst division in football, they’d be lucky to still be in the playoff discussion.

We all know how this story ends though… The Chiefs will make the playoffs, but will get embarrassed at home to either the Jaguars or Titans. We’ve seen it every year for our entire lives.

After a 5-0 start, the Chiefs have fallen flat on their faces and it’s been as unpleasant as you can imagine. The fans have melted down and rightfully so. If Alex Smith doesn’t begin to play better, the chirps for Patrick Mahomes are going to get louder and louder.
