The Kansas City Chiefs have completely fallen apart after losing to the previous one-win New York Giants in overtime.

What a gross game. The Kansas City Chiefs, coming off a bye, couldn’t do a darn thing offensively against one of the worst teams in football. That, my friends, is embarrassing.

Sure, the Chiefs are 6-4 now and still leading the division, but this game proves they’re not a Super Bowl contender. Alex Smith was ineffective except on the final drive to tie the game, Kareem Hunt did next to nothing, and Phillip Gaines for some reason was allowed on the field.

This is called “rapid reaction” for a reason because I get to let out all of my emotions. The Kansas City Chiefs just got embarrassed by one of the worst teams in the NFL and the wheels have officially come off.

The offense put up just nine points and what sucks even more is that the defense played fairly well (except for Gaines). It was a little embarrassing that there were no sacks on Eli Manning, which shows that the pass rush is invisible. The Chiefs need to get someone to sack the quarterback because Justin Houston isn’t that guy anymore.

Smith deserves to be called out in this game. He was awful. He threw some bad passes and at one point missed a wide open Travis Kelce in the end zone. That would have been the difference in this game.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

The play calling was a joke. Andy Reid decided to get cute in a KEY situation and have Travis Kelce throw the football. It resulted in an interception and continued to give the Giants a chance to pull away.

I don’t really know what else to say, guys. This was one of the worst football games I’ve ever watched. The Chiefs offense, despite all of their weapons, couldn’t do a thing. This should have been a blowout, but instead, it was a loss. A loss that the Chiefs can’t afford to have on their resumé.

What’s next? Well, the one and two seeds in the playoffs are now as good as gone. The Chiefs have to get back to battling for the AFC West title, which at this point, looks to be a challenge. The Raiders have a tough schedule down the stretch, the Broncos have no quarterback, and the Chargers can’t close out games, so that’s a positive for Kansas City.

I said before this game that if it wasn’t a Chiefs blowout, the season was done. There’s no way this team is making noise in the playoffs and if you say otherwise, you’re one of the most positive people I’ve ever met.

Good-bye. I need to go punch something.
