It’s understandable to be panicked about the last week for the Chiefs, but this is still a very good football team with playoff potential.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

It was a bad week for Chiefs fans, that’s fair to say. The defense was getting cooked and the offense didn’t do enough to save the team in week six.

The offense is the bright spot for this year’s team and now they’ll have to step up in the big moments and carry the team. The defense did this for years, but now, they’re not looking like those same units we’ve come to know and love in Kansas City.

Alex Smith is playing very much like an MVP level quarterback and Kareem Hunt, Tyreek Hill, and even rising star Demarcus Robinson only make this offense better. If the defense can start generating some pressure on the opposing quarterback, that will make the secondary’s job less difficult.

Right now, the Kansas City Chiefs still sit at 5-2 and the season is still very young. They’ll pick things up and get back on the right track. This team is just too good not to.
