Kansas Basketball: Malik Newman will be a star for the Jayhawks
By Kyle Hull
Newman in Crimson and Blue To Be Determined
Perhaps the most highly anticipated newbe in Kansas, Newman has high expectations coming into live-action, after sitting out games for a season. Currently a redshirt-sophomore in his athletic career as a college athlete, Newman finds himself as a huge role on the team.
Newman’s game will stretch the floor for the Jayhawks, and adds just another weapon for the squad.
This summer during the team’s trip to Italy, Newman was the leading scorer in the final game with 32 points, and had the highest scoring average for the Jayhawks. Newman also scorched the nets during Late Night in the Phog, including a game-tying three point field goal in the annual scrimmage.

There is not a whole lot to break down about his game, but for a good reason. Newman’s game will speak for itself once he gets going in the games.
Welcome to Lawrence, Malik Newman
Malik displays his talents on Sunday, against the Missouri Tigers in an exhibition game. Based off of some studying of Malik, I expect Newman to go off in his Jayhawk debut. Newman’s range on the court, and explosiveness make the Jayhawk that more tough to defend.

Adding Newman was a blessing in so many ways. Not that the Jayhawks lacked talent, but it is never a bad thing to gain talent, either.
Malik Newman makes his Jayhawk debut on Sunday, in a revived border war. Although it will not count in the stat sheet, that will not stop Malik from being the best player on the court. Take that, Michael Porter Jr.
