GOOD: ALEX SMITH

One of my friends came over to watch the game with me and he was raving about Alex Smith‘s ability to throw the deep ball all game long. Now, of course, this particular friend LOVES Alex Smith and is pissed that the team drafted his future replacement.

Anyway, normally I have to correct this friend and tell him that Smith can’t throw the ball deep, but that wasn’t the case on Thursday night. Smith threw a couple of good looking deep balls and has continued to look like the MVP of the league. It’s a damn shame his defense couldn’t help him out because Smith played about as perfect of game as one can.

Smith is the real deal this year and is putting the Chiefs in a great position to win.

In just seven games, Smith has already thrown for 15 touchdowns, which was his touchdown total a year ago. The bigger stat? HE HAS ZERO INTERCEPTIONS! Smith is the real deal this year and is putting the Chiefs in a great position to win. Why this couldn’t have been the case last year, I don’t know.

It sucks that Kansas City lost this one because Alex Smith deserved a win for his efforts. He finished the night going 25 of 36 for 342 yards and three touchdowns. Keep it up, Alex.
