That was a gross game played by the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football. What was good, what was bad, and what was ugly in that game?

It’s bad enough losing a game in the NFL, but losing to the Oakland Raiders is one of the worst experiences for Kansas City Chiefs fans. The Chiefs’ 31-30 loss to the Raiders on Thursday night was embarrassing and quite frankly, this team isn’t looking like a Super Bowl contender anymore.

I usually get these types of posts published sooner, but I wasn’t in a great place after Thursday’s loss. Ol’ Leighroy had one too many beverages and when the 5,000th play to end the game finally decided the outcome, I turned my television off in disgust and went to bed angry while my poor cat wondered what he did to upset me.

It wasn’t my cat’s fault that I was upset, it was the Chiefs defense. Remember when this unit could actually stop the opposition? Remember when the defense used to make Derek Carr look like a joke and not allow him to throw for four touchdowns and 400+ yards? YEAH, ME TOO.

Obviously you know what will be in the ugly section, but let’s start on a cheery note and discuss the good. If you make it through the whole post, congrats! You’re a true fan.

I will say that this edition won’t be nearly as lengthy as the others, mainly because I’m still a bit irritated at the results. Also because the ugliest part of the game was the defense. Not much else needs to be said on that.
