At 1-4, the hope for anything positive to emerge out of this season is fading away. The Tigers still have two non-conference opponents on the schedule, which could bump them to three wins. Can they get any other W’s?

More from Missouri Tigers

It has not been a fun season for Mizzou football so far. Barry Odom isn’t doing his job as the head coach of this team and it’s evident that this team is going nowhere for the duration of the season. So, what’s next for the Tigers?

Well, MU will get to face (currently) fifth ranked Georgia and no one is excited about that. At least not anyone who roots for Missouri, that is. Georgia is one of the best teams in all of college football and Missouri has shown that they’ll be sitting in the basement of the SEC East this year.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Tigers go in a new direction this offseason or if they decide to stick with Barry Odom past 2017. Will Odom be with the team when this current season wraps up? Only time will tell, but I don’t think anyone thought the team would be 1-4 after five games.

All I can say with this one was at least MU was competitive in this game until the very end. They fought hard and were it not for two missed field goals, they probably would have pulled out the win against the Kentucky Wildcats.
