Kansas City Chiefs: Five Things To Watch
#3 Alex Smith Chance to Revive Stagnant Offense
Yes the Chiefs are 3-0, but the last two wins have not been the cleanest production by any means. Most of the points scored by the offense had come in the fourth quarter, as if a beast only awakens come quarter number four.
Though Chiefs Kingdom cannot complain too much, their offense still has not reached its full potential.
Alex Smith is off to his best start in his 13 seasons, and without his play, this team has a slim chance to be 3-0. Addrenaline seems to lurk within primetime home games. Monday night would be a perfect opportunity to revive the offense a bit.
Were it not for two great Kareem Hunt runs in weeks two and three, we could be looking at a very different result for this Chiefs team. Alex Smith needs to make sure that the offense is up and going before the Chiefs hit the fourth quarter.
Though Chiefs Kingdom cannot complain too much, their offense still has not reached its full potential. Perhaps a win Monday night would energize the offense to reach heights unimaginable.
