GOOD: KAREEM HUNT

It didn’t look like things were off to a good start for rookie Kareem Hunt, as in his first ever NFL carry, he fumbled the football and the Patriots recovered. The fumble didn’t lead to any extra New England points, as the Patriots would go for it on fourth down and be rejected by the Chiefs defense.

Two of Hunt’s touchdowns were through the air and the kid showed the necessary speed to make things happen for this Chiefs offense.

Hunt went on to redeem himself and by half time, most Chiefs fans had probably forgotten about the fumble. The rookie ended his first ever professional NFL game with 17 carries for 148 yards, five catches for 98 yards, and three total touchdowns. Yeah, I’d say we have a star in the making at the running back spot!

Hunt was electric all night long, but seeing him and Alex Smith on the same page in the passing game was a beautiful sight. Two of Hunt’s touchdowns were through the air and the kid showed the necessary speed to make things happen for this Chiefs offense.

I was a little nervous for Kareem Hunt, having to step into the starting role for such a big game, but I think we can all agree that Spencer Ware wouldn’t have made THAT big of an impact on Thursday night.

What a debut. Congrats, Kareem Hunt! We look forward to continue watching you kill it on the gridiron.
