Missouri Tigers 2017 Season Preview
The Wrap Up
I see this being another disappointing year for Missouri Tigers football. However, this team will be moving in the right direction. Barry Odom is putting together some quality talent that should start to pay off over the next couple of years. They just aren’t there yet in my book.

Of course, the big hump to get over is going to be the conference schedule. The Tigers are currently the cellar dwellers of the SEC, and that is not a good place to be. Teams like Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and Ole Miss have spent decades in that position as the top teams lean on them. Being a loser in the SEC turns cyclical quickly because it hurts you in recruiting as well.
However, Mizzou has an advantage over the rest of the SEC in that they don’t have the rest of the conference competing heavily for their recruiting targets. Missouri’s location in the SEC means that they don’t have to duke it out for their local talent. That should help Barry Odom right the ship.
In the meantime, the Tigers will have to just keep plugging away and putting their best foot forward. It’s going to be a tough road, but this program appears committed to walking it and sticking to the plan. As long as they do that, the days of winning football won’t be that far off.
The Missouri Tigers are currently sitting at the bottom of the SEC. That’s not a good place to be, and they need to get out of there quickly. Barry Odom seems to have a good plan in place to make that happen. The Tigers should be coming into this year looking for a bowl game. However, any kind of progress will be a good sign.
