Five Games That Could Be in the Win Column – Week 1: Southeast Missouri State

With a team knowing they can win games heading into this season that put a beating on their last season opener, this should be a well welcomed cake walk. The Jayhawks will win another season opening blowout as the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks make the trip from Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Lawrence, Kansas.

Simply put – There should be no chance that the Jayhawks lose this one. This game is at home and the Jayhawks are playing against a school who is in the Ohio Valley Conference.

The Jayhawks should win by more than 20, but it all depends on the offensive production. If fans would need even more reasons to see a guaranteed KU Football win, then they can go and see Mark Mangino and the 2007 Orange Bowl team get honored at halftime. That is something that has been a long time coming.

For the most part – Fans will want to watch this game anyway because it’ll be one of the few games that Kansas wins in blowout fashion. KU is not a powerhouse in football, no, but SEMO is even lesser down the ladder than the Jayhawks are. This will be an easy Jayhawks victory.
